Porsche Recalls Turbo Vehicles for Fire Danger

There may not be a substitute but there is a recall for turbo equipped Porsche automobiles which could catch fire. The high end German auto company is recalling a small number of Cayenne Turbo SUV's and Panamera turbo sedans because the aluminum and titanium alloy turbine wheels in the turbo chargers can crack, sending oil into the exhaust system and possibly cause smoke or catch fire. Porsche reported multiple turbo failures which led to fires in their turbo charged vehicles both in the United States and abroad.

Porsche spokespeople said they do not know if any injuries yet to be caused by the defective turbo chargers. However, if you own a turbo Porsche, please contact a dealer immediately.
