Tragic AV Car Accident Kills Three and Injures More

In a tragic Antelope Valley accident Friday night, three people were killed and two more injured in a rear-end collision on Highway 14 near Palmdale. CHP responded to find a Telsa had rear-ended a Toyota sedan which had four passengers inside it. The Toyota caught on fire and three occupants got stuck inside the burning car and died of their injuries. CHP officers on scene closed both sides of the 14 and investigated for hours.

CHP said the Tesla was travelling at high speed when it hit the Toyota. The driver of the Tesla was not arrested. The decedents appeared to be a family: a father age 40 and two boys, ages 13 and 8. A 6 year old badly burned boy was taken by airship to Children's Hospital in Los Angeles. A 31 year old was the only other person to survive and was taken to a local hospital with moderate injuries.

The cause of the accident is still being investigated. My sympathies to out to the family and friends of those involved in this tragic accident.
