Three Die in Fiery Studio City Car Crash

Three young people died in a fiery car crash on Ventura Boulevard Sunday early morning. A B.M.W. driven by Pavel Volodkovich crashed into a tree at a high rate of speed. After hitting the tree, the car spun into a natural gas line and came to rest in the front of a pizza restaurant. The car caught fire and all three occupants died as a result. Friends of the driver sayhe had been drinking at a friend's 21st birthday party. Los Angeles City Fire personnel said they thought the occupants might have survived the crash but died as a result of the fire.

The accident occurred in the Studio City part of Los Angeles County along Ventura Boulevard. Fortunately no other cars were involved in the accident and the restaurant was closed at the early hour of 3:35 a.m.
