Alleged DUI Driver Dies After LAPD Taser Gun Incident

LAPD officers were called to the scene of a minortraffic collision this weekend. One of the drivers appeared to officers to have been intoxicated. The officers conducted a DUI investigation during which time the suspected drunk driver became involved in some sort of fight with police. At least one of thepolice officers shot the man with his department issued taser gun.

After the man was shot he was described as having some difficulty breathing. The man was later transported to the hospital where he died. The police have not released the dead man's name as of yet.

LAPD Chief Charles Beck commented that the police will look into the incident and make any changes which are deemed necessary to his department's training and implementation of taser guns. I regret that investigation will not help the unknown dead person or his family.
